For five years, Kenrick Headley played with Liberace. This past weekend, he guest starred on the steel drums with his friends in the Red Stone Alley Band as they entertained at the second annual Barbados Day. This festival, all in aid of the Fort Langley Lions and the May Day parade, was celebrated Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Birthplace of B.C. Gallery in Fort Langley. In addition to Caribbean-style music and a chicken barbecue, there were facepainting and balloon creations, and a few artists, like Perry Haddock, were on hand to offer demonstrations. Event organizer and host Brenda Alberts said the event raised a couple thousand dollars for the village parade.
