Happy Mothers’ Day painting by Allan Hancock

Kookaburras are in the Kingfisher family but their ebullient nature sets them apart. The distinctive sound of the Laughing Kookaburras call, echoing human laughter, makes for high-spirited birding in the wilds of Australia. What better gift to give the mom who visits with the kids down under, then an Allan Hancock painting of these cute and noisy mascots from the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
