Fort Langley’s village core was reinvigorated with the return of the Lee Family’s grocery store. The new store, Lee’s Market, opened at 9 am on Sunday December 9, 2012, almost two years after fire destroyed their Fort IGA. Lee’s Market will have a local focus as well as more gluten-free and organic products and Peter’s flowers. A painting of the old store with “Peter’s Garden” by Birthplace of B.C. Gallery artist, Jack Turpin, is part of the store’s decor which also includes historic photographs and canoe club memorabilia.
