After being awarded the HSBC Gold Medal on Sunday in the Great Painters Challenge, Brent Heighton’s painting also was the People’s Choice in balloting held Sunday and Monday. In addition to the $1,000 awarded with the Gold Medal, his win of the People’s Choice Award came with a $500 framing certificate sponsored by Classic Gallery Framing.
