PLAY-OFFS: Langley Chiefs in Second Round

In game four with the Alberni Bulldogs last Tuesday (Mar 1) Josh Hansen scored 9:37 into overtime to send the Langley Chiefs through to the second round of the play-offs.
On the forecheck, Mike Tebbutt and Kody Dhaliwal forced a turnover and Hansen jumped on the loose puck, came out of the corner and beat Alberni Valley Bulldogs goaltender Frank Slubowski with a backhander which went top shelf.
Hansen’s goal gave the Chiefs a 6-5 victory at Port Alberni’s Weyerhaeuser Arena in the best-of-seven BCHL Coastal Conference playoff series.
The Chiefs also won game one in overtime, 5-4, while they took games two and three, 3-1 and 5-1.
Josh Hansen, was the recent recipient of the Kurt Alberts Rookie of the Year Award.
The Surrey Eagles won tonight’s game (4-3) giving them a 2-1 lead in the round so far.
