HISTORIC TRUST: Willoughby Hall fundraiser a success

Painting of Willoughby Hall by Colton sold for $3,200 at fundraiser

At Sunday evening’s Heritage Matters Concert, auctioneer Jim Marsh (Canam Auctions) magically extracted $7,000 from the audience during a brief live auction just before the intermission. The popular concert in aid of the conservation of the Willoughby Community Hall sold out a week ago. Proceeds will be combined with funds the Langley Heritage Society has earmarked for an enhancement project at the Willoughby Hall in memory of Shirley and Roy Baker.
