Olympic Inspiration: Torch at dawn painted by Barry Walker

New painting inspired by Mary's early morning relay in White Rock

Birthplace of B.C. Gallery artist, Barry Walker, has caught the Olympic spirit in his new painting of a torchbearer in White Rock at the crack of dawn. Barry was born in Sydney, Australia where he attended East Sydney College of Art and trained with one of Australia’s foremost portrait artists. He now lives in Maple Ridge after retirement from a career in lithography and commercial art in Toronto’s largest ad agencies.
Barry shows his work at the Birthplace of B.C. Gallery. Check out the Gallery web site link at the right to see more of his paintings.
